June 2 - JUNE 11, 2018 $4450 USD - SINGLE ROOM / $3950 USD - SHARED ROOM
Day 1- Athens- Quick orientation, meet and greet, including a light lunch and herbal teas. Explore the sites of the Parthenon and Herodion theater, as well as a tour of the Acropolis museum. A quick return to the room and then a yoga session designed by our yogi tailored for the weary traveller. In the evening, If you choose, you can explore Athens by night on your own, or join us for a stroll and a lovely dinner.
Day 2- Tolo-Early rise with healthy breakfast followed by a light energizing yoga session. We then head south with a pitstop at the Isthmus, Corinth Canal. We gather for a coffee break and a bungee jump into the Canal is available if anyone is interested to dive in a little further. We continue with a leisurely ride to Tolo where we check into our rooms and enjoy the crystal clear waters. Energizing Yoga session by the sea. As always you are welcome to join us for an evening out or explore the area at your own pace and terms.
Day 3- Mykines/Nafplio- Waken to a light stretch and healthy breakfast and cap it off with a refreshing swim. We meet up and head to the Mycenaean site. We enter the famous lions gates and experience the start to Homer's Odyssey. A ride into Nafplio for a healthy lunch and an easy hike to Neraki for a Vinyasa ebb and flow with the tide. After our custom Yoga session you can try your hand at rock climbing by the sea or just enjoy a swim. Refreshing drinks and healthy snacks will be provided by our crew. We return to Tolo once again for the evening. Unwind yoga session under the moonlight before we retire for the night.
Day 4- Epidavro- Early day with energizing breakfast followed by a beautiful ride to explore the theater of Epidavros. The first known sanctuary for healing using meditation, the arts, sport and early day surgical techniques to heal the body and spirit. We then ride to Methana where we enjoy a dip in the volcanic hot baths followed by a lovely lunch at the Island of Poros and an even more amazing drive around the peninsula.
Day 5- Hydra/Spetses- Today we rest the body and allow the spirit to soar. To all who desire you can take a one day cruise to the mystical islands of Hydra and Spetses. Not a seafairer? Just relax by the beach or join our climbing guides for another chance to climb in Nafplio. In the evening we enjoy dinner with live music and Greek Dancing by the sea.
Day 6- Monemvasia- Today we head down the coast to our magical destination of Monemvasia. We stop at Leonidio for a coffee and a snack before winding our way up the Gorge to Kosma for an Earth grounding yoga and stretch. After lunch we snake our way down the mountain pass and check ourselves into the castle for two nights.
Day 7- A spiritual day off spent inside the castle... Energizing sun salutation yoga to start our day. A healthy breakfast with fresh squeezed juice and herbal tea to fortify us for our exploration of Monemvasia and an invigorating swim by the castle wall. You're guaranteed to find a quiet spot to meditate in one of the many nestled nooks or climb to the top and write your own poetry.
Day 7 Alternate- For those who choose to explore a bit more: You may head to the picturesque town of Gythio and then to Areopoli and the Diros Caves where we enjoy a boat ride and a small hike inside one of the largest and majestic cave systems.
As always, for those who wish, you are welcome to join us for a nice evening of good company, food and music.
Day 8- Arcadia- We bid goodbye to our castle home and head northwest towards Kastanitsa, Dimitsana and Lagadia, all located in the mountainous Arcadian Province of the Peloponnese. We rest by the river Lucius for a refreshing lunch and go into a meditative flow by the water's edge. We check into our hotel in Lagadia and head out to the site of The Olympic Games...
Day 9- We leave the magical town of Lagadia and head towards Lake Ladona and the ski resort town of Kalavrita. The drive here is magical, with ever demanding views vying for your attention. Upon arrival to Kalavrita we learn of the great tragedy that occurred there during the Second World War. With heavy hearts of what we've learned we find solace in the ride to Athens. That evening we band together for a mindful meditation combined with a serene yoga session. Let us all learn from the mistakes of the past.
Day 10- As this part of our journey comes to a close we hope it leaves each of us renewed, rejuvenated and more mindful humans filled with gratitude for future adventures to come...
