Day 1- Athens Airport to Tolo: Arrive in Tolo, Check in and jump in the sea!!!!
Day 2- Nafplion- Palamidi, Old Town: We visit Nafplion just 10K from Tolo. It was the first capital of Greece after the Ottoman Empire. Venetian Architecture and one of the gems of Greece.
Day 3- Methana, Poros: We drive through the mountains to Methana for a dip in the sulfur pools and visit the old Volcano. After we drive to Poros and take a Taxi Boat over for lunch. We take the Coast and mountain road back to Tolo for an evening of fun…
Day 4- Mycenae, Epidavro: Visit Agamemnons tomb and the Lions Gate of Mycenae. Planning for the Trojan War began here. Afterwards drive out to Epidavro and enjoy the Ancient Theater and the sanctuary where modern medicine all began. BOUZOUKI NIGHT: Greek Music and Dancing later on that evening.
Day 5- Hydra, Spetses: Relax and take a leisurely cruise to the islands of Hydra and Spetses.
Day 6- Corinth Canal, Diakopto-Railway_Kalavrita: See and maybe bungy jump at the Corinth Canal. Drive to Diakopto where we take the Odontotos Rack Railway to Kalavrita. Amazing views and spectacular lunch. Time permitting we visit the tragic monument comemorating the execution of every male in the town from the Nazi’s. Later on in the evening we have a fresh caught Fish dinner at tripia sagionara (holy sandal) taverna on the beach
Day 7- Nemea wine tour. Explore the wine region and Northern mountains of the Peloponnese with our own sommelier . Spectacular views and divine flavors.
Day 8- Free day( anything goes)Relax by the beach in Tolo, go snorkeling. Ride to Karathona beach and Neraki for rock climbing, swimming and just enjoying the terrain with a small hike. Home made dinner at momma’s house.
Day 9- Leonidio, Kosma, Monemvasia: Head south down the coast through Astros, Leonidio. Light seaside lunch by Leonidio. Over the mountain pass to Kosma for greek coffee and pastries with a stop at the cliff side monastery of Moni Elonis. We wind our way down to our destination of Monemvasia. Where we spend two nights in the castle.
Day 10- Monemvasia: Explore the wonder and mystique that is Monemvasia.
Day 11- Mani Peninsula, Gythio: Short drive to Gythio where we check in to our port side hotel. We then explore the Mani Peninsula and the famous Dirou Cave system.
Day 12-Olympia, Lagadia, Arcadia: We visit the birthplace of the Olympics and spend a night in a quaint mountain side hotel.
Day 13- Athens: Beautiful drive down the mountains as we head to Athens!!! Party time this evening as we near the end of our odyssey.
Day 14- Athens: We visit the Parthenon and the new Museum. Explore the Plaka. Believe it or not… Classic Homestyle Italian dinner for our last night. What could be more fitting. Being that the Roman Empire took over after the Greeks and carried on in the tradition of the Gods, the Sciences and Architecture.
Day 15- Our Epic journey comes to an end as we part ways. Transfer to the airport or carry on to one of the Islands like Santorini or Mykonos.
